Dott's babies -- eight girls and one bouncing boy, are old
enough to head out to new homes!

Dmnt.
Dott gave birth to 9 gorgeous babies today! CAVE Alex is
the proud daddy. We're hoping for some gorgeous satin
and velveteen rats.

Computer issues have caused a large lapse in our ability to
update the site - the holes will all be filled in as we have
time, but we are still here and still active!

Five PEW
lab rat pinkies were adopted by CAVE Emily today!
Somehow these babies lost their mommy, and the WSU Veterinary
Teaching Hospital asked me (and Emily) to raise them up.
Emily's proud of her new, bigger litter too!

Emily, my little agouti roan, gave birth to 4 fat pinkies
today!

We
traveled the six+ hours to Port Orchard this weekend for the
RatsPacNW Fall Show! All the 'kids' had fun and little
CAVE Black n' Blue, from our last litter, won Best of Variety
and Best of Section. We're also started work on two
co-litters with Denise and FURR Rattery in Kirkland, and I was
interviewed as a rat expert for a future PBS special on Rats!

This
summer has been a hard one here at critter cave; I lost
several of my older ladies, including my wonderful Autumn,
Schmoo and Curley Sue :( Their sweet personalities
will be very missed.

We have
babies! My beautiful blue girl tBBR China, gave birth to her
first litter today! There are 11 squeeking pinkies, and
their daddy, CAVE Freddy, couldn't be happier!

We
attended Rat-a-Rama in Boise, ID and we did GREAT! My
beauty China won Best of Show and my adorable boy Freddy won
Best of Show Kitten! It was fun too! : )

We
celebrated Earth Day at WSU! Representing the club we're
working to start here, The Rat Pack, with a ratty display
showing how to reuse items for rats! LOTS of people came
past our table to enjoy the company of my does Curly Sue,
Scout, Willow and Marie, and my buck Kenmore.

Our World
Rat Day celebration was a blast! LOTS of people came
over to visit my ratties and learn more. With all the
interest, I've decided to work to create a local rat club!

The
RatsPacNW Spring Show! We didn't do too badly either!
One of our recent babies, CAVE Nimh, won best of her section,
and my beloved Squidge won Best Pet! He's just too
squishy to resist ; )

Sophia and CAVE Johanna gave birth to a total of five
beautiful babies. Though the litters were much smaller
than hoped for, we are none-the-less blessed! Keep your
eyes open for these beauties at the March show!

Fritz & CAVE Sophia and CAVE Heidelberg & CAVE Johanna moved
in together for their honeymoons! We'll be expecting
some pretty babies for adoption in March!

The
beautiful Tamarin gave birth to her much anticipated litter
today! Eight little pink squeekers. These rittens
promise to be AMAZING ratties; with the award-winning bean-bag
of a rat Squidge as their daddy!

Our
latest 'oops' litter was born today! My roomie, who
lovingly cared for my ratties while I was at t last show,
accidentally let a girl in with the boys - Ooops! She
had a beautiful litter of 10 little rascals.

My rats
and I attended the RatsPacNW show "RATS!" and came home
winners! Squeek's son, CAVE Fritz, took Best of Show!
All the other attending ratties carried home ribbons as well,
including CAVE Widget who won a 1st prize ribbon. Local rat
breeders also got their first hand-on look at beautiful roan
rats, enjoying several kittens from the Squeek x Grey Girl
Litter.

It is
with great sadness that I announce that my beloved Squeek
passed away during the night. Squeek was over two years
old, and had been battling pneumonia for some time. He passed
away quietly in the night. I'll miss my silly, outgoing
boy!

MOVED!! The Critter Cave has moved to Pullman, WA
so that I can pursue a degree in zoology/animal science at WSU.

Girl gave birth today! 11 beautiful babies - expected to
have some ROANS! I expect babies in various patterns of
blue and black.

On the 25th of March
the Critter Cave went to the RatsPacNW Spring Show in Port Orchard,
WA. We had LOTS of fun and adopted out almost all of
Willow and Autumns' babies to new homes! One of my
pretty girls, SITH Reaver, also won her second show title,
Velveteen Best of Variety!
